The Ayahuasca diet is is commonly referred to as a 'Dieta' and there are many traditions to follow. However, we've crafted a simple plan that will help you cleanse your physical body and prepare your mind and psyche for the sacred medicine. By eliminating certain foods from your diet, you'll not only enhance the effects of the medicine, but also potentially reduce the amount of purging during the ceremony. While we can't guarantee this to be 100% true, we do know that good preparation leads to better results. This is a solid step in purifying your body before and after each ceremony, ensuring the most profound experience possible. Are you ready for the journey? If you are taking any medications or supplements, let me know.

You must start the diet at least 7 hours before you drink ayahuasca; however, we strongly recommend you start at least three to five days before – better encourage you to prepare for 2 weeks. We also ask that you use your common sense and please do not become neurotic about the diet – so do not think you completely messed up and have to reschedule if all you did is accidentally end up consuming some salt/sugar

Two weeks prior, stop consuming
• Pork
• Alcohol
• Cannabis
• All recreational drugs: e.g. cocaine, amphetamines
• hot peppers

The MAOI present in Ayahuasca vine blocks an enzyme known as monoamine oxidase, leading to elevated levels of tyramine in the body. This substance is responsible for regulating blood pressure, and excessive amounts can potentially increase blood pressure to dangerous levels, resulting in severe health complications such as stroke, brain hemorrhage, and even death. Hence, it's crucial to stay away from tyramine-rich foods before your ceremony. Although it's rare to die from an interaction of Ayahuasca and tyramine, severe headache is a common side effect. Remember to prioritize your safety and nourishment during your journey.
